I am crowdfunding this project on IndiegogoLife. This is a combined project of publishing and distributing a very important children’s story, as well as starting a supoort program for the children who’s parents battle with complex mental health issues.
The manuscript presently sits with Waldorf Publishing in Texas. it is the story of a young girl who learns to empower herself, while her family dynamics change and her mother is hospitalised due to Borderline Personality Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. themes discussed are the observation of her mothers changes in behaviours and how it affects children, understanding what dissociation is at a basic childfriendly language, visiting her mother at a clinic, and how her mother leaves the family and how support people come to help the children be able to visit their mother in her new home( supervised visitation) the common thread through this story is the use of song by both mother and daughter to help them get stronger and reunite.
the secondary aspect in communicating with NEA-BPD we are trying to establish self help groups for school aged children so they see they are not alone, and offer support by adults to discuss how they feel about their parents illness. the impact on their roles in the family while their parent is ill and means of communicating their emotions. as well as discussing their understanding that their parents illness is not their fault or the fault of the siblings. some children may have also been witness to domestic violence in the home preceeding their parents illness. it is imperitive to help the younger generation with better coping skills to difficult situations that they do not result in self harmful behaviours like that of their parent.
there is a generation like myself who are not diagnosed with BPD and or Complex Pot traumatic Stress disorder until later in life. For many women like myself didn’t start developing the disorder until after the birth of a second or third child- thus being the change in hormones with a predisposition of genetics, familydynamics and social history. many of us adults were also lacking information once diagnosed( no pamphlets from drug companies)
thank you for your time and donations

! To see through Stained Glass at Night Xmas Promo
Yes the collection of poetry has reached the american market! It Encompasses everything from early childhood, imagery from the west coast of Canada.
“To See through Stained Glass At Night” is a collection of poetry that evolves like a set of letters to a dear friend. Gemma Luescher-Verseckas endears to a broad audience with her love of animals, love of art, and the world around her, a subtle wit and occasional bout of humour. She approaches themes such as artist block, as well as the vulnerability of asking others opinions of your work. Gemma also writes about the taboo of a mental illness, and coming back, then how it comes to affect her family. And lastly she touches on the impact of working in a developing country. Even in her darkest of poems shines a light of strength, hope, and humility.
Heres the first interview online with Fiona McVie- WordPress website:
With a new publisher and new cover, “To See Through Stained Glass at Night” will be newly released end of October making its debut at The Töpferhaus Aarau its first Author signing “Meet and Greet” 31.October 2014, and hopefully coinciding for the opening of “Kunst in Aarau” show ( this is dependent of whether the books are held at customs like last year)
I am pleased the book is released this month as it coincides with the #BeyondStigma campaign For Borderline Personality. I am not ashamed of having to battle with this illness, and there is a whole series of poems dedicated to dealing with the symptoms of this disorder.
This book is available through me, through my publisher Ediciones Camelot, and shortly Amazon.es.
I am proposing a german translation of my work to be completed for summer 2015. As is the publisherEdiciones Camelot wishing to translate the works to Spanish also to be released 2015.
I am in the process of searching for a new publisher- the previous publisher “seleer Press” has been taken over by a lager conglomerate “Grupo Planeta” and in the process my contract was canceled and my editor is no longer with the company.
But my former editor’s book “the 6th of September” seems to be doing well and will be made into a movie.
Here is a compilation of my work for the stations of the cross for my local church. All 15 stations will be on display as of 6. June 2014 until 15 of August (Maria Himmelfahrt) the stations will be for sale but price is negotiable.
The stations are 30×30 cm plaster on wood with gold acrylic. I have enjoyed the process of this artform and searching to build another project in the near future (but not religious based)
I wish i had taken a photo
Of you in your storytelling mode
Arms extended high
To explain the pigeons flying away
The older gentleman thoroughly enjoying
The entertainment of your limited
Vocabulary (approximately 2 years old)
It doesn’t phase you one bit
An audience of strangers watching
As you beam like the sun
In your element.

The shards of the green wine bottle
Left by the drunk hiding his shame
Behind the sun house
Have been tidied up,
But only after I had
Smashed the bottle more
To find shards sharp enough to cut through my scars
While I hide equally in shame
Behind the sunhouse
Smashing the glass between each round that i cut
Searching the relief that I know I really won’t find
Because I know it will only be temporary before I come back down again
And I am deprived of my final stage of coming back to
When i have to tidy up the mess i made
Making sure the damage is minimal
And not dangerous to others
And I search for the odd shard of glass
Knowing I won’t cut
this time but somehow
There are no words needed
Everyone knows how much confusion and pain I am feeling
I just needed a bandage
To stop the bleeding
after the third round.
Just so I didn’t drip my shame
All over the floor
Just like the shards i left behind
For someone else to clean up after.
Where do i go from here?

The moon struggles
To provide light
Behind the collage
Of coloured glass angels
As the sun would struggle
To provide light
Through dense clouds
After the rain
